Kevin Kadar
Kevin Kadar (1953-) is a graduate of Cooper Union in New York City. His landscapes and figure works are strongly influenced by European baroque painting tradition. The landscapes in PCC’s collection share the quietude often found at the last light of day. His figure paintings are sometimes more fanciful, and convey the feeling of an apocalyptic struggle.
His work is included in many corporate, private, and public collections including the Tacoma Art Museum, The Oregon Historical Society, and the Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University in Salem, OR. He is the 1998 recipient of a Betty Bowen: Special Recognition Award from the Seattle Art Museum. He is represented by Froelick Gallery in Portland.
