I’ve been out of school for a while – do I need to meet with an advisor?

It’s always a good idea to meet with an advisor but it’s not required. If it’s been a long time since you’ve gone to school or you would feel better starting your educational plan at PCC after meeting with an advisor -that’s great!
You may also want or need to take a Placement Test. If it has been more than three years since your last writing course or more than a year since your last math course, it is highly recommended. You can find out the times/dates of the tests by contacting our Testing Centers. Some Testing Centers require testing appointments.
After you’ve completed the tests, feel welcome to meet with an academic advisor.
