If I have taken a class for 3-credits at another college, and PCC offers this class as a 4-credit class, can I still use it to meet prerequisite and degree requirements?

Updated October 19, 2022

Yes. PCC will allow students to use the 3-credit version of courses that have recently changed to 4-credit courses at PCC as prerequisites and to meet program requirements.? The course requirement will be met, but if you took the course for 3 credits, you will not receive 4 credits.

So, if the 3-credit course you took at another college or university is determined to be equivalent to our version of the class, then it will work as a prerequisite or program requirement – just as if you had taken that class at PCC.
