Are there any practice tests for the placement exam?
Updated November 3, 2022
ALEKS for math and ACCUPLACER for reading and writing replaced the Compass placement testing system. ALEKS and ACCUPLACER tests do not require studying or practice tests beforehand.
ALEKS, our math placement test, can be done from any computer or compatible mobile device. There is no need to study beforehand – ALEKS will guide you through the process. You will need:
- Around 90 minutes to complete the test. For your own accurate placement, do not use calculators, phones, or any outside help.
- Log in to MyPCC. On the Home Tab, click ALEKS math skills in the Quick Links channel.
The ACCUPLACER test for reading and writing composition must be taken at one of our testing centers. You should:
- Submit the?request for advisor-assisted placement form?and we will be in touch shortly.
- Study ACCUPLACER preparation tools.
- Allow around 30 minutes to complete the test.
- Bring valid photo identification and your PCC G number.
