What if I stop taking classes at PCC for awhile and then decide to come back, are my credits still good?
Updated October 12, 2022
It’s okay to take a break from PCC. There are some things to consider:
- If you take at least one course each academic year, you will be under the catalog rules in effect at the time of your admission – for up to six years. If you have a gap of more than 1 academic year, you will be under the catalog rules in effect when you return.
- Some medical-related programs have rules regarding the age of science courses however, credits never expire.
- If you have been out of math intensive courses for more than three years, it is recommended that you take a?placement test to?be sure that your skill level is still where you left off. This is not a requirement, and taking the test will not force you to retake courses, but rather give you an idea?of your current skill level.
It is best to meet with an academic advisor?when you return to?PCC.
