Do I need to declare a major before I transfer?

You do not need to declare a major before you transfer to another university or college, but the university will ask you to declare your major when you reach junior status. Knowing your major early on will help you plan a proper course of study and possibly save you time and money.
Additionally, if you are transferring to PCC from another school, you are required to initially declare a major/degree option. You will benefit from declaring a major/degree at PCC in that you will have registration priority.
