How do I change my grading option?

Updated October 11, 2022

You can take courses on a Pass/No Pass basis. It’s best to take required courses, like those for your major, for a letter grade.?A “P” may not satisfy the prerequisite of “C” or better required for entry into some courses (English Comp or Math, for example).

You will need to make sure you select your grading option within the completion of the first 80% of the course (week 8 for full-term courses). You can select your grading option during registration or by doing the following:

To change your grading option:

  1. Log in to the?MyPCC.
  2. Click?Register for classes?in the Term-to-Term Checklist.
  3. Click?Change Grade Options.
  4. Use the drop-down to change your grading option.
  5. Click?Submit Changes?to save your choices.

See the?grading section of the PCC catalog for other options. If you are transferring credits, you should check with your transferring institution regarding courses and grades that can be transferred.

For additional information go to the grade options page.
