Course Description

Provides specific study skills necessary to meet the challenges of the professional pilot career. Explores various aspects of professionalism for the flight industry, such as working within a diverse workforce and verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  • Describe the appropriate attire for a pilot in various professional settings. 
  • Describe the conduct that is expected of professional pilots in professional settings.
  • Demonstrate effective communication of technical information, both written and verbally.
  • Create an academic study plan for successful completion of an aviation science degree, with consideration of personal learning style, time constraints, and/or other factors.
