Course Description
Addendum to Course Description
This course is appropriate and required if the student is currently registered for, or working towards completion of a previously issued CIP in, any of the following courses:
AVS-205; AVS-215; AVS-225; AVS-235; AVS-241; AVS-242;
AVS-265; AVS-275.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Students will:
1. Demonstrate strong background knowledge in areas that support the flight lessons.
2. Approach each lesson with knowing exactly what will be practiced and what is expected of them.
3. Arrive at all flight lessons prepared to maximize learning during the flight.
4. Be prepared at all times to describe their current point, rate of progress and the next steps in their flight syllabus.
Course Activities and Design
Exercises, video, quizzing and scenario-based activities will be utilized to achieve the stated outcomes. There will be a high level of student to student interaction.
Outcome Assessment Strategies
Outcome will be assessed through a combination of oral and written quizzing, classroom activities, and progress in the related flight syllabus.
Course Content (Themes, Concepts, Issues and Skills)
All classroom activities will be centered around the flight lessons that the student is currently working on at a level appropriate to the flight course that they are working on.
