Course Description
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Compile a proposal needs assessment.
2. Identify and evaluate the potential funding sources most appropriate for a nonprofit organization’s goals and objectives.
3. Build community relationships necessary for the support of a proposal.
4. Write grant proposals including effective documentation and statistics.
5. Respond appropriately to requirements of accepted grant proposals.
Outcome Assessment Strategies
Students will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of the concepts described in the
required competencies by any combination of the following:
- Participation in class activities
- Composition of grant proposals
