Course Description
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of Computerized Accounting Applications, the student will be able to:
ý Demonstrate an understanding of accounting theory.
ý Apply accounting procedures using microcomputer software.
ý Communicate effectively using standard accounting terminology.
ý Demonstrate an understanding of accounting reports and records.
Outcome Assessment Strategies
Students will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of the concepts described in the required competencies by any combination of the following:
ý Attendance and participation in class activities
ý Portfolio of completed and corrected homework problems
ý Presentations
ý Individual or group projects
ý Completion of assessment or certification-style examinations
ý Other assessments such as quizzes, written exams, etc.

ý Demonstrate basic knowledge of computers and computerized accounting software.
ý Demonstrate an ability to write a business memo using correct formatting, grammar, and spelling.
