Course Description
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of this course, student will be able to:
- Use Adobe Dreamweaver to create personal and/or business websites following current professional and/or industry standards.
- Use critical thinking skills to design and create a basic, multi-page website.
- Use Adobe Dreamweaver and a stand-alone FTP program to upload files to a web server.
- Be prepared to pursue future courses in website development and design.

Grading of this class will be based on completion of project(s) developed individually or as part of a team.

Activities:
Calculations involving screen resolution, the hex numbering system for colors, determining percentage width for tables and table cells, determining the length and width of an image, etc. In APDiv's, measuring placement on the screen in terms of pixels. In HTML, CSS and Behaviors, assigning values to properties and variables.
Communication
Hours: 20Outcomes:
- Create a multi-page web site using the basic features of Dreamweaver
- Publish (upload) a web site to a server using Dreamweaver and a stand-alone FTP program
- Utilize basic X/HTML tags
Activities:
Writing web pages with content developed by the student. May also include posting content on the web using e-mail, bulletin boards or blogs.

Activities:
In campus classes, working in groups to develop skill in working with colleagues. In online classes, working cooperatively via bulletin boards or other shared media. Communication with the instructor to develop skill in working with supervisors.
