Course Description

Requirement: Keyboarding by touch. Recommended: Placement into RD 90 and WR 90 or above. Audit available.
Addendum to Course Description
This course develops a psycho-motor skill in which students gain proficiency at the computer keyboard. The course will be taught by a qualified instructor using hands-on activities, instructional software, lecture, demonstration, and one-on-one instruction. Some out-of-class preparation will be required.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students will be able to:
- Keyboard by touch with increased accuracy and speed following current professional and/or industry standards.

Use critical thinking skills to apply proofreading techniques to business documents.

Use feedback/guidance from the instructor and classmates to incorporate methods to improve speed and accuracy levels and assess their effectiveness on individual skill development.
