Course Description
This class will cover solving problems directly from the plant floor, and will be supplemented with shop math problems from industry.
Intended Outcomes for the course
As a result of this course, participants will learn/be able to more effectively:
Handle many shop problems involving plane geometry and trigonometry, common fractions, decimal values, micrometers, vernier scale reading, and bevel protractors, using formulas, gear ratios and screw motion.
