Course Description

Provides comprehensive training in restorative dentistry. Reinforces foundational skills in performing restorative procedures, focusing on hands-on practice in the clinical setting. Covers a range of restorative services, emphasizing the development of essential clinical techniques and patient care skills.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Perform chairside assisting duties during restorative procedures.
  2. Record patient consent for restorative procedures.
  3. Use pain management techniques required for restorative procedures.
  4. Complete permanent, temporary, and therapeutic restorations as directed by a dentist at the beginner restorative clinician level.
  5. Assess and adjust occlusion prior to evaluation of final restoration by a dentist at the beginner restorative clinician level.
