Course Description

Covers workplace preparation including professional ethics, organizations, opportunities, certification requirements and preparation for Registered Graduate (RG) testing through the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology (NBC).

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  • Recognize and follow ethical standards of the dental laboratory technology profession.
  • Be prepared to pursue eventual certification testing through the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology.

  • Be prepared to pursue eventual certification testing through the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology.

  • Review and compute measurements, weights, surveying and proportional measurements as they relate to the fabrication of dental appliances, dentures and fixed prosthetic.
