Course Description

Introduces exercise plan development and progression for fitness and wellness. Explores communication, behavior change, and motivational strategies for client success and retention. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Design and modify individualized exercise plans based on assessment results, medical history, goals, preferences of the client, and industry standards.
  2. Apply effective communication strategies when instructing exercise and educating clients about fitness and wellness.
  3. Apply behavior change and motivational strategies to enhance client retention and client adherence to exercise and wellness behaviors.
