Course Description

Explores the needs and abilities of individuals and groups with specialized exercise and wellness program requirements. Includes advanced assessment methods and modifications for assessments, exercises, programs, and equipment. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Select and administer pre-screening tools and fitness assessments for healthy adults, youth and individuals with specialized requirements.
  2. Interpret pre-screening tools and fitness assessment results and communicate them to clients.
  3. Design individualized exercise plans for youth and individuals with specialized requirements based on assessment results, medical history, goals, preferences of the client, and industry standards.
