Course Description
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students should be able to:
- Explain significant local, national, and global issues related to women's health and well-being.
- Analyze how cultural, behavioral, environmental, and social factors impact women's health and well-being.
- Describe the causes and potential solutions for challenges to women’s health.
- Use information from credible research to identify skills and strategies for health promotion and disease prevention.
- Analyze the effects of androcentricity on women’s health and health care.
Social Inquiry and Analysis
Students completing an associate degree at Portland Community College will be able to apply methods of inquiry and analysis to examine social contexts and the diversity of human thought and experience.
