Course Description
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

Identify cultural expectations for conveying information, opinions, and emotions in ASL and English.

Use figurative language, make and understand inferences, and use self-monitoring skills during ASL and English discourse.

Discuss relevant research in ASL and English.

Conduct research demonstrating meta-linguistic awareness of personal discourse patterns.
Course Activities and Design
This course will include lectures, student presentations, a research project, and group discussions.
