Course Description

Builds on concepts and skills in the Pilates method of conditioning. Continues emphasis on increasing core strength, stabilization, and range of motion. Recommended: PE 182P or instructor permission. Audit available.

Addendum to Course Description

This course provides knowledge and skills in non-impact whole body exercise which includes variations to further challenge the student. Benefits include core strength, stabilization, muscle tone, flexibility, improved posture and body/mind awareness

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of this class students should be able to:

  • Continue to improve core strength, muscle balance and control, body awareness, and range of motion utilizing the Pilates method.
  • Apply exercise repertoire variations built upon Pilates concepts in personal workouts.
