Course Activities and Design
Instruction is provided through our contracted flight training partner, Hillsboro Aero Academy. Lessons are comprised of individual flight and ground instruction. Written (or online) tests, oral quizzing, practical demonstration of procedures and scenario-based training are utilized to ensure students are meeting the completion standards for each lesson and the outcomes for the course.
Outcome Assessment Strategies
Outcome 1: Student will demonstrate FAA required tasks at the flight and ground stage check to determine whether they meet FAA standards.
Outcome 2: Passing grades will not be issued unless training requirements have been met. Pass rate for the course and for the FAA checkride that occurs after the course is complete can be monitored.
