Course Description
Addendum to Course Description
Management Fundamentals is an introductory course that provides an overview of what management is and why it is needed. It identifies levels of management, the primary focus of each level, different management styles, and decision making and problem solving processes.
Course will fulfill required and/or elective credit for Portland Community College’s Business Administration or Degree Programs.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of Management Fundamentals, the student will be able to:
Demonstrate an understanding of the overall role and importance of the management function.
Demonstrate an understanding of the management process.
Communicate effectively using standard business terminology.
Outcome Assessment Strategies
Students will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of the concepts described in the required competencies by any combination of the following:
