Course Description

Introduces the fundamentals of three dimensional drawing as a communication tool used in the construction process. Introduces graphic tools including freehand sketching, diagramming, axonometric and perspective drawing. Covers appropriate use of these tools for conveying information between various professionals engaged in the construction process. Prerequisites: ARCH 110 or departmental approval. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  • Communicate construction design ideas using diagrams, freehand sketches and axonometric drawings.
  • Solve construction and design problems using diagrams, freehand sketches and axonometric drawings.

Instruction followed by in class sketch drawing work exercises and student peer reviews of the exercises
