Course Description

Provides tools and resources for making informed career decisions. Covers assessing skills, values, interests, and personality toward making a career decision. Covers how to research career information and methods of exploring careers. Prerequisites: Placement into WR 115 and RD 115. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students will be able to:

  1. Apply self-awareness to choices pertaining to work, leisure, and education.
  2. Access current resources and tools to enhance career development.
  3. Use self-awareness and decision-making skills in order to create career and educational goals.

Students will demonstrate these learning outcomes by these tasks conducted individually and in cooperation with other students.
 

  1. In-class participation through a variety of methods including dyads, learning teams, and/or presentations.
  2. Presentations and reports related to information gained through career information resources.
