Course Description
Students participate with various public sector criminal justice agencies to learn about their structure and function. The field placement must be program-related. Department permission required prior to registration. Prerequisites: CJA 100 and (CJA 111 or CJA 113).
Addendum to Course Description
This course is designed to provide students with an opportunity to practice their skills at a work site related to criminal justice. This experience may be paid or non-paid. Students will be trained, supervised and evaluated. Work experience will give students the opportunity to apply classroom coursework to a given Criminal Justice field and may be added to a resume as an indication of having had experience in the field.
ASSESSMENT:
Assessment of the student's cooperative work experience will be provided by the employer on the Employer Evaluation form.

Intended Outcomes for the course
Student outcomes will be listed as objectives on the Learning Objectives form. Outcomes will depend on the needs of each student and will be determined by their performance at the work site. The instructor will visit the work site to evaluate student success.
