Course Description

Provides opportunity to discuss and debrief experiences encountered while attending final externship sites. Explores ethical problem solving and appropriate resolutions using real-life examples. Prerequisites: Acceptance in the Dental Assisting Program. Corequisites: DA 172.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate conflict resolution skills.

  2. Demonstrate professionalism towards fellow students while communicating and problem solving.

  3. Apply advanced clinical skills through completion of evaluations and competencies during the externship experience.
