Course Description
Covers advanced study of dental materials including ceramics (porcelain) and high fusing metal alloys. Prerequisites: DT 253 or instructor permission. Audit available.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students should be able to:
- Describe the nature, properties, application techniques and uses of porcelains used in dentistry.
- Describe the sequence of procedures necessary to complete a porcelain fused to metal restoration.

- Explain the nature, physical properties and uses of dental resins in crown and bridge laboratory procedures.
