Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students should be able to:
- Identify the major engineering disciplines.
- Describe the engineering functions associated with each discipline.
- Explain the variety of activities that engineers perform.
- Describe the role of the various members of an engineering team.
- Illustrate the difference between engineering and engineering technology from both an educational and occupational perspective.
- Determine if a career in engineering or engineering technology is desirable, and, if so, what discipline to pursue.
- Create a plan to achieve engineering educational goals.
