Course Description
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of this course students should be able to:

Describe the linguistic and metalinguistic features seen in ASL literature.

Discuss the history, development, and current trends in ASL literature.

Produce a dynamically equivalent, meaning-based translation of English literature in ASL.

Discuss best practices in performance interpreting.

This course will include lectures, student-led discussions, analysis of literature, presentations, and interpretation.

Assessment strategies include observation of students' in-class receptive and expressive skill in ASL, quizzes, application of grammatical features, and interpretations.
