Course Description
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students should be able to:
- Read and understand the general topic, questions and statements in short writings in Japanese.
- Write mostly simple sentences about familiar and everyday topics.
- Speak about familiar and everyday topics using simple sentences most of the time.
- Listen and identify the topic and some isolated elements from simple sentences in spoken Japanese.

Explain the cultural perspectives related to some everyday Japanese cultural products and practices.
