Course Description
Introduces fundamentals of Ballet technique with a focus on correct alignment, development of strength, flexibility, range of motion, stability, and Ballet terminology. D 190A and PE 120A cannot both be taken for credit. Audit available.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion, students should be able to:
- Apply lessons in Ballet-specific anatomy, safe practices, and injury prevention in order to improve well-being and ballet performance.
- Engage in and appreciate different forms of artistic expression through Ballet.
- Interpret ballet terminology to critically analyze Ballet performances.
