Course Description

Covers the development of advanced court knowledge, positioning, different rotations / defense, and game play at a faster tempo. Continues to develop score keeping skills, refereeing, and team concepts through numerous drills and advanced game play. Introduces the basic concepts of coaching. Prerequisites: High school varsity volleyball/club experience, Advanced Volleyball and/or Volleyball Team I or instructor recommendation. Audit available.

  • Outside tournaments and scrimmage may be requested while in this class
  • Fundraising may be requested while in this class

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of this course students should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate understanding of 6 vs 6 volleyball team concepts at a competition level.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of all offensive and defensive positions with variations.
  3. Demonstrate how to run all positions on the court.
  4. Play volleyball games at the collegiate level at fast tempo with consistency.
  5. Demonstrate coaching techniques and be able to run numerous volleyball drills for the team.
