CALI Outreach & Transitional Coach and Program Coordinator

I’m the Program Coordinator for CALI program and have been with CALI since October 2022. As the program coordinator I support the program with planning and logistics. I also work with students to reach their goals at PCC and provide resources.

My family is from Puebla, Mexico and travel there quite often. I enjoy getting to explore more of Mexico and its Pueblos Magicos. I am a mom of two girls, Anaya and Nayleah, and we enjoy the outdoors, doing crafts and traveling. I graduated from Portland State University in 2016 with my Bachelor of Arts in Social Science. I started working at Portland Community College in August 2015 and have been here since then. I have had multiple roles at PCC including being an Advisor for the TRIO Talent Search Program, Academic Advisor for the Health and Emergency Professions Programs at PCC before my role as Program Coordinator with CALI.

I look forward to seeing you at PCC!

CALI Office Assistant

I’m the Office Assistant for the CALI program and have been providing my support to CALI since December of 2022. Through my time with the CALI program I have assisted the program in organizing workshops and events to help our Latino students have a successful first year of college.

Being that I am a first generation College student, I am grateful to be a part of this team as I understand the difficulties first generation and first year college students face. After taking a few years of college I have returned to my studies here at PCC and am currently working towards a Personal trainer certificate and Bachelors in Food and Nutrition. I’m also a mother and have a 5 year old daughter. I was born in Mexico, and grew up in Oregon most of my life. Outside of work I enjoy going on adventures with my daughter, cooking, and spending quality time with the family. I come from a big family, and am the second to oldest out of 8 siblings.

Being in the CALI program has allowed me to be of support to our Latino Community here at PCC and I am always excited to share the great work we do here at the CALI program.
