NLWL: Help Us Beat a Guinness World Record for the Most People PlantingNative Bulbs at the Same Time
Posted by hannah.cherry
On April 18th (Saturday) from 9 to 11 am we will be doing a Guinness World Record challenge at the rare and beautiful White Oak Savanna in West Linn. We hope to break the UK’s record for the most people planting native bulbs at the same time. They won the title last year with 850 people planting. We have native camas and trillium bulbs ready and all we need is you. Let’s show the Brit’s how it’s done on Earth Day at this SOLVE supported event. There will be refreshments, acoustic music, and lots of White Oak Savanna merchandise to buy as a memento of this fun and important day.
- Please bring a hand trowel if you have one. If not, ACE Hardware has provided 150 at their cost. Thank you, ACE Hardware.
- This is a SOLVE supported event.
- Come and spend part of your Earth Day doing something rewarding and fun.
We are going to have an “Oregon Field Guide” segment aired on the Savanna on April 2nd at 8:30 pm on OPB. A small group of people can make a difference in the world. Come and help us on April 18th at 9 am.
