Intake Volunteer Position at our Hillsboro Clinic 266 W Main St., Hillsboro, OR

Clinic hours are from 5-8:30pm on Monday and Thursday Evenings

PRE-CLINIC DUTIES:

  1. Sign in on SWCHC Volunteer Log.
  2. Review appointment book and any special instructions. (@ PDX or Thursdays @ Hillsboro).
  3. Assure returning client charts are pulled and available.
  4. Check desk supplies.
  5. Greet clinic volunteers and have them sign in the volunteer log.

CLINIC DUTIES:

  1. Answer phone. (@ PDX)
  2. Check in patients and prepare charts.
    Provide Financial Screening Form and determine and collect fee.
  3. Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
    Compile blank patient charts.
  4. Distribute and collect patient satisfaction surveys.
  5. Make reminder calls for next clinic. (@ PDX)
  6. Help clean up and close clinic.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Basic computer skills and ability to make database entries.
  2. Professional phone and reception manner.
  3. Good organizational skills.
  4. Commitment to patient confidentiality.
  5. Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse racial, ethnic and economic populations.
  6. Availability on a regularly scheduled basis and consistent email contact for scheduling purpose.
  7. At least a six month commitment.
