Community Vision, Inc.: Become a Mentor, Change a Life!
Posted by hannah.cherry
Dream Builders Alliance is seeking volunteers to mentor young adults in the Portland Metro Area!
Mentoring is a fun way to get involved, make a new friend and explore the community! We match mentors and young adults based on interests, goals and location. Each meet up in the community is focused on exploring the young adult participants interests and dreams.
Young adult participants experience disability and are 16-21 years old. No mentor/participant journey with Dream Builders Alliance looks the same, everyone has different goals and interests to explore in the community. Some examples of interests are technology, game development, animals, public transit, college, sports, music, writing, video production/photography, farming and much more!
**The mentor commitment is 2-5 hours per week for 6 months. $100 stipend upon successful cohort completion.
All meet up expenses (mileage, transit tickets, activity expenses, etc.) are reimbursed as needed.
