Community Partners for Affordable Housing: Summer Youth Counselors Wanted!
Posted by hannah.cherry
Summer volunteers are wanted to help at-risk youth take part in a wide variety of activities including cooking, crafts, sports and environmental education.
In addition to onsite activities and presenters, our group takes part in weekly field trips that coordinate with the week’s theme. Every year we take the children to the coast where many see the ocean for the first time.
Our Beaverton program runs June 28th through July 28th on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11:30 AM to 3 PM. Volunteers are asked to commit to one day a week for 5 weeks, complete a volunteer application and background form, and be at least 16 years or older.
