DUI Engagement Marketing Volunteers for Clackamas County On Tap and Uncorked
Engagement Marketing is promoting a safe way home in an unconventional way at public events where alcohol is served. Engagement marketing involves the application of multiple techniques and practices to establish direct contact. One of the goals of this interaction is to cause an emotional reaction. Our message is to develop the habit of planning their night out in a different way than they are used to. Volunteers are needed for the following event:
Clackamas County On Tap & Uncorked
September 9, 2017 (Sat) from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Sara Hite Memorial Rose Garden

What’s your part in it?
This is an opportunity to get volunteer hours, and to practice public outreach skills that can help your resume. Volunteers staff our booth to engage the public at designated outreach events. Volunteers will:
- engage people passing by booth at event (greet them; ask them questions about not driving impaired; share facts about impairment, DUI, and traffic safety)
- offer branded water bottle with safety message
- offer information on Ride share offers or discounts
- offer information on the SaferRide app
- offer chance to try informal Breathalyzers (for educational purposes only)
Volunteers must be 21 or older to work at this event
What support will you have doing this?
Volunteer training will be provided by Oregon Impact 15 minutes prior to starting a shift at the event. You’ll get information, a chance to see and practice engaging someone, and materials to work with. There will be shift overlap scheduled so you can learn from those who have been actively engaging on the prior shift.
