Carrie Cantrell moved to Portland in 2016, following a rich career in food & travel and a country upbringing in the southeastern United States. The first years in the Pacific Northwest, Carrie learned the value of accessible community media and public service by volunteering at local community broadcast stations and organizing through the North West Intersex Action League. As an AAOT student at PCC, Carrie helped start Let’s Talk! in 2021 and hopes to see the project continue to grow as part of a thriving and healthy public media platform by and for PCC students.

Cherranne Verduin – Podcast Tech

Podcast Tech, Cherranne “Anne” Verduin”. A blind woman with light brown skin and short dark curly hair is wearing a zip up hoodie and smiles at the camera.

My name is Cherranne Verduin; on the air, I go by Anne Verduin. I am a Podcast Tech for the Let’s Talk! Podcast Collective. That’s my official title, and I do hope to one day help record podcasts, specifically about technology. I love tech, especially if it makes life easier for a blind person, which I am. I have been totally blind all my life. For now, I seem to have found a niche in taking the lead on writing web articles for podcasts that have already been recorded. I have lived in Portland for twenty years, and worked for PCC in some capacity since August of 2023.
