When I was teaching, I was well aware of the struggle that many of my students had to attend PCC. And now, I believe those struggles may be greater because of the increase in PCC students who may be homeless or are unable to keep food on their table. Their difficulties, which add stress to their lives, take time away from their studies and drain their dreams for their future. This new opportunity fund allows PCC to better connect with student needs and to make a positive impact on students' lives now and in the future.
Opportunity means a chance to do something meaningful to help ease the stress of day-to-day living for students who want to earn a degree, find a meaningful job and change their lives and communities for the better.
