Karen & Tom Kervin
Tom and I decided to become Champions for Opportunity because we believe higher education should be accessible to everyone in our region, along with the opportunity to achieve their goals in whatever career path they choose.?
If you go back a generation, many members of our family worked in traditional trades jobs and were trained with the skills needed to be successful in their careers. Those skilled workers are still very much needed today. PCC makes these opportunities happen, providing employers with a trained workforce and students with the tools necessary to obtain a living wage job.?
The PCC Foundation makes a high-quality education possible for so many through scholarships, wrap-around services, workforce development initiatives and in removing other barriers to help students succeed.
Becoming a Champion for Opportunity has been a very personal and meaningful journey. We are thrilled to be supporting such an impactful organization and we know our investment will pay dividends for many years to come.
