This is a painting of Hwaseong in Suwon, South Korea that I painted for a landscape painting assignment using a photo as reference. I wanted to paint a scene from my hometown and I used the wall of Hwaseong Fortress to show a famous landmark and to give a composition that uses the wall to draw the viewer's eye to the focal point of the setting sun.
