This drawing was completed as an exercise in line quality, size and texture. A classical painting was chosen as a requirement. Then we turned the image to black and white. We scaled up the drawing to an 18 by 24-inch Bristol art pad. Looking at the original, the exercise was to create textures and depth using our own style, and using different line thickness, and texture, to create depth and interest in the drawing.
