For this project we first made collages of reference images to get the composition right before beginning the drawing process. We were attempting to make a play on scale and use gestalt principles, such as repetition, mindfully. My focus was on sculpting the detail of each element to make it stand out in such a dark atmosphere, as well as inventing shadow and light.
