Emerson Mitchell | “Elion-Hitchings Puzzle”
This media file is attached to: Drawing
This drawing was made for the final in my drawing class, in which we were asked to do a study of a photo that had been split into an isometric grid and then rearranged. I chose a vintage photo of the Elion-Hitchings building designed by the architect Paul Rudolph after finding out that it had recently been demolished. I worked with soft graphite pencils and a blending stump on a Bristol board with a slight surface tooth in order to replicate the slightly grainy quality of the old photo.
