This drawing was another part of the series with the prompt "Record" for my Drawing 2 class. Continuing with the idea of "if a tree falls in the woods with no one around to hear it, does it make a noise?" - using a photo of Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach, I started with graphite to make a simple gesture/contour, then used charcoal to add value and texture.
