This photograph is an assignment where I was asked to take a self portrait. I wanted to explore the idea of taking a self portrait that did not feel forced. I wanted to just look at the camera with a natural expression, and let whoever looks at it decide for themselves what it means to them. I also wanted to find my own beauty in a natural state, without any effort to look a certain way.
