I took this in my photography class while exploring different editing processes. By blacking out the background and bringing all the focus to the fern, I hope to bring a sense of stillness to the viewer. Almost as if it were floating in a sea of darkness. As someone who struggled with depression, I felt this image captures the feelings one can have in times of struggle.
