The main character in this photograph is my grandpa, "Papa Pedro". During our walk through of his old house, he explained the hardships of life in his "sombrero blanco". As he was reminiscing, I pulled out my camera trying to capture the room. I enjoyed the different textures that filled the kitchen, from the piled rocks to the roots hanging from the ceiling. Every detail is a piece that has inspired our bloodline to pursue our accomplishments.
